教科文组织和Al Fozan基金会设立新奖项以支持青年科学家
教科文组织执行局10月19日批准设立一个新奖项以促进年轻人在推动全球社会经济转型和发展方面做出贡献教科文组织和Al Fozan基金会都坚信年轻人应在建设具有复原力和包容性的未来社会中发挥重要作用为此双方合作设立了这一奖项以便在年轻人才职业生涯的早期阶段提供支持并鼓励他们继续工作同时加强科学技术工程和数学STEM领域的研究教育和合作 联合国教科文组织阿勒福赞科学技术工程数学领域杰出青年科学家国际奖将从2022年起每2年颁发一次授予来自教科文组织5个地理区域的5位获奖者它将培养和鼓励年轻人特别是妇女和女童参与STEM以促进性别平等科学素养和对科学职业的选择每位获奖者将获得5万美元奖金一枚奖章和一份证书 该奖项将加强科学合作促进和普及科学以推进全球科学专业知识的进步满足科技落后国家青年科学家的需求   配图布鲁克黑文国家实验室CC BYNCND 20
