在联合国教科文组织促进可持续发展世界工程日3月4日黑客松大赛中一支由菲律宾女大学生组成的团队一举夺冠旺达佩兹WONDERPETS团队1成员包括鲁瓦哈提Ghia Luwalhati谭Nicole Elizabeth Tan布尔Reaner Jacqueline Bool她们使用金属有机框架这种新型吸附材料将回收来的塑料瓶变成一种超多孔性海绵使其成为去除水体污染物的有效工具更难得的是这种海绵还可以重复使用

  联合国教科文组织执行局批准了15个新的教科文组织世界地质公园设立申请使得世界地质公园网络成员数量达到161个分布在44个国家执行局还批准了土耳其库拉萨利赫利联合国教科文组织世界地质公园的扩展 这也是尼加拉瓜俄罗斯和塞尔维亚首次拥有世界地质公园 新增世界地质公园
