Integrity Respect for Diversity Professionalism   OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST TVET Project Assistant   UNESCOs Capacity Development for Education CapED Programme is an extrabudgetary funding mechanism and programme approach created in 2003 It is based on the understanding that education reforms with a view to achieving internationally agreed education goals and targets including SDG 4 will not be effective if countries lack the capacities to make them operational With an overarching capacity development approach the Programme seeks to improve the quality of education and increase learning opportunities especially for girls women and disadvantaged population groups As one of the priority countries of UNESCOs Education Sector Sudan is currently benefiting from the CapED Programme with a focus on Technical Vocational Education and Training TVET   The CapED project in Sudan aims at supporting the implementation of the TVET policy review recommendations with specific focus on Strategy development together with its implementation plan On the policy level only the governance will be fully addressed Development of National Qualifications Framework NQF and Upgrading and quality development of selected TVET institutions   The following workshops are planned until end of 2021 TVET strategy workshop for youth Capacity Building Workshop to develop a Quality Assessment Framework NQF development workshop Private sector engagement in TVET system development   TASKS Under the general authority of the Head of UNESCO Khartoum office and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer of the Office the contractor shall perform the following tasks in addition to any other tasks assigned Support and facilitate TVET workshops and meetings conducted by UNESCO Khartoum ensuring all workshops requirements covering the following among other tasks Booking of venues where events  are conducted Distribution of invitations and ensuring all invitees are covered Coordinate logistics Follow up with various suppliers Catering Printing of banners Provisioning of stationary materials Registration of participants at events Recording and sharing with project manager and team minutes of meeting Collecting feedback from workshops Filing and organizing project documents Review project plan and report on any amendments Coordinate and facilitate arrangements according to plans ensuring participation of all targeted individuals and smooth progress of trainings Submit regular monthly reports about work progress covering attendees materials and workshops assessment Facilitate and monitor training and implementation of TVET strategy workshops Facilitate and monitor training and implementation of TVET NQF workshops Facilitate and monitor training and implementation of TVET Capacity building workshops Distribution and collection of evaluation forms during training workshops and representing data in MS Excel sheet Report regularly to the project manager escalating any issues Support visibility of events and media coverage Support the implementation of and report on all activities workshops and meetings conducted by UNESCO within TVET components strategy development national qualifications framework and capacity building including support of international and national experts through printing required documents and other arrangements Collect recommendations proposed by the National Team during Workshops and compile into a MS word report Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately for project and help the project teams manage resources and information and assist with scheduling and planning meetings and project activities Coordinate purchases and distribution of TVET ICT  equipment to TVET institutions PCs UPS etc and prepare collection receipts ensuring they are signed by the receiving TVET institutions Support translation of intermediate and final TVET documents under supervision of the project
